Summary: Charmant oud huis, prachtig gelegen bij een nog charmanter kasteel. Heerlijk rustig, mooi grasveld om te frisbeeën of zo. Mooi bos (we zagen een hert en vleermuizen en hoorden egels en een uil). Donker genoeg voor sterrenkijken, al komen er veel vliegtuigen hoog over. Portbail ligt op 5 minuten met de auto, supermarkt heeft eigenlijk alles. Zee is net zo dichtbij, met Jersey aan de horizon. De eigenaar nodigde ons uit op de koffie en voor een rondleiding, en ondanks mijn beperkte Franse vocabulaire was dat hartstikke leuk! Wat een ontzettend aardige mensen. Utah beach is op rij afstand, Omaha beach wat verder, maar ook goed te doen. Zelfs Mont Saint Michel hebben we gezien, maar vond ik wel wat ver (een uur en drie kwartier rijden). Wij hebben twee heerlijke vakantieweken gehad!
