Positive: The apartment is tastefully decorated and has beautiful views.

Negative: Picking up of keys was ridiculous. Housekeeper unavailable, son-in-law had to walk 1.1 km to pick them up (from a garden bed, in mid afternoon, in July heat,) due to taxi having left. Car is essential, (not stated in property details) Property is in a very large gated community, set high on a hill accessed by 90 degree turns on a very long and steep road. 3.5 km walk to beach, advertised as 'walk to beach' We had our 5 year old grandson with us, so this was a major issue. Flooding in main bathroom from shower and would have gone into hallway had I not stopped my shower. Housekeeper aware and told me to "remove drain and not to have long showers" (I hadn't), No compendium, therefore no info on where to put garbage, where pools were, how to work TV etc etc Substandard and stained linen and duvets, no linen change in 8 days (Paid 180 euros for linen for three beds) When I questioned the housekeeper she stated there would be an additional charge for a change. Charged 360 euros for cleaning of apartment. We found on arrival, ants coming from hole in skirting in bedroom 2 (noted in previous review from a guest) verandah was dirty, unswept, dead plants, plants needing watering, paint peeling on verandah and torn shade. I wrote to Novosol ( the agents for the property) twice, advising of above and included photographs. They came back saying we were not entitled to 'Your wish for compensation' I had not at any point referred to compensation, however I was expecting an apology and their assurance that the aforementioned issues would be dealt with. Last year we stayed in Provence and booked through another company and the service etc was exceptional. It is sad we have left feeling very let down this year.
