Positive: Both rooms have an on suite bathroom but the smell is not great. There are chickens horses and sheep nearby which was great for kids.

Negative: There were lots of wasps (like 20-30) all day in the swimming pool (especially on one side). I’m scared of them and I didn’t enjoy swimming around them especially with my two young kids that were constantly trying to grab one. There must have been a nest nearby. The owner said it’s normal and just said they won’t sting.. I know people that are allergic, and this would have been a deal breaker for them. Blinds on the windows in the bedrooms are falling off so if you want your young kids to sleep before sunset it’s tricky. For the access to swimming pool you need to walk around instead of using the gate nearby. This is because the owner wants to keep one side of the pool to themselves (nobody should walk past). With two young kids it’s inconvenient. You cannot do any local walks with pushchair as the roads are rocky.
