Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The apartment is located a little bit outside of the city center, with a 15 minutes walk to the train station and a 25-30 minutes walk to the city center. It is a typical summer residency, including a parking lot in front of the building and a little pool (not very suited for proper swimming but nice to relax in the rather warm water). The beach is a 15 minute walk if the pedestrian passing is open - if this is not the case, the walk would probably be more like 45 minutes. The apartment itself has all the facilities needed, including a dishwasher and a washing machine, which is very useful during a longer stay.

Negative: The distance to the beach is a bit misleading - in the description, it states 700 meters (which is true if we had wings). The real distance depends on a pedestrian passing. In case that it is open, the way to the beach is about 15 minutes (1.1 km), if not, the way is much longer (more than 2 km according to maps). Also the picture from the sea view is a bit misleading (it seems to be very zoomed in). Although it is stated that the apartment is professionally cleaned, the dishes were rather dirty. The host was, despite the fact that she seems to be a professional host, the worst host we have ever had. We communicated our arrival time way in advance, nevertheless we had to wait 30! minutes until someone arrived (after being told 3 times that someone would arrive in 5 minutes). Since we arrived by car and had no keys yet to enter the property, we had to wait on the street hoping not to disturb anyone. After finally having checked-in, the host told us that we could text them anytime. This was true, however, we never got any replies (such as where to find the trash bins, etc). In the middle of the stay, the toilet stopped working. We immediately communicated that to the host (Thursday evening), who after a phone call from our side on Friday morning (since we did not receive any phone call from the host as asked) promised to let someone have a look at the toilet that day. Eventually, no one had a look at it and we were left with a non-working toilet until the end of our stay on Sunday. I do understand that some people may be on holiday in August, however, it is hard for me to believe that in a city with about 75,000 inhabitants there is nobody who can have a look at the toilet.
