You can set out directly from the house onto the cross-country ski trail network, winter hiking trails, or into the family-friendly ski area of the Ramsau ski region. The ski and public buses to the lifts of Ski Amadé or the Dachstein Glacier are just a 2-minute walk away. The Rittisberg, directly across the way, is the perfect summer destination for families, featuring a swimming lake, a summer toboggan run, and a high-rope climbing course.
In summer, the wonderful alpine pasture area at the foot of the imposing southern faces of the Dachstein offers many circular hiking trails, magnificent viewpoints, and numerous mountain huts. The high plateau is considered Austria’s number one via ferrata destination. A total of 20 beautiful via ferrata routes and hikes, each offering breathtaking views all the way to the Czech Republic or the Slovenian Triglav Mountains, are signposted in Ramsau.
