The apartment has everything you could ask for. As a place that brings history to life and commemorates the technological processes of an open-pit mine, the park captivates its visitors. The art installation “VINETA”—a floating artistic interpretation of the former church of Magdeborn—serves as a memorial to the lost towns of the lignite mining region and, since being anchored in the middle of the lake, has been used as a venue for weddings and events. It can be visited using Germany’s unique amphibious vehicle or the ferry.
