For rent: Close to St. Tropez in the unique hamlet of Val de Gilly the spacious villa La Ruine sleeps 4 adults and 2 children, a lovely garden with a modern (heating available) swimming pool. Totally renovated in 2022/2023. Close to the Massif des Maures you will find the authentic and picturesque hamlet Val de Gilly which is only a few miles away from the medieval village of Grimaud, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Port Grimaud, adored by boat lovers, is situated on the Mediterranean in the Gulf of St Tropez well-known for its beautiful beaches and other entertainments. Val de Gilly, with only 35 houses (most of them restored original hamlet houses) is situated only 5 miles from the beach. The hamlet is extremely quiet, no shops, no church, no restaurants, not even a pub, therefore it is an oasis of tranquillity with hardly any traffic and it is surrounded by hills, woods and vineyards. 10 minutes drive away you also have the town of Cogolin, where you will find supermarkets, all kinds of stores and many fine restaurants. Sporting possibilities are unlimited for biking, trekking, horse riding, sailing, diving, quad bikes for rent and of course golf. Over 10 courses (18 holes) are to be found locally.

For a longer stay during the low season (January, February, March, April, November and December) we offer a special price arrangement. The villa is surrounded by a spacious garden (2.0000 m2) and private pool (10.0m x 4.0m, depth 1,65m). La Ruine was rebuilt in 1999 on the foundations of an old farm by Sylvia and Matthew Riechelmann and renovated in 2022/2023. After their careers in international advertising and in publishing they decided to move from Amsterdam to Val de Gilly where they enjoy a new life. They speak French, English and German and are eager to assist their guests with practical information.
